Meet Steph the RKVIST

Are you like me? Overwhelmed by tons of photos stuffed into storage boxes and digital images sitting on your cellphone and computer? I had no clue what to do with any of this.

Yet when I lost my sister, Debbie, to cancer on April 3, 2010, the night before her funeral I wanted to take all her photos and put together a video to tell the story of her life. I had absolutely no idea how to do any of this, and it was one of the most frustrating moments in my life.

That frustration became my inspiration for RKVIST: My goal was to find a way to share my family’s stories – and if I could do this for my family, I would help other families and organizations to do the same thing.

My commitment is to preserve your photos and films the same way I do for my family – so that together, we may share our priceless stories with the people who matter most.

I would be honored to help you share your stories – now, and for generations to come.

Best,
Steph

My Background

Before RKVIST, I spent years sharing stories in the theater. I began my career working in production for Broadway Producer Manny Azenberg, winner of 80+ Tony Awards, and Broadway General Manger Marvin Krauss, on the original productions of “Broadway Bound”, “Ain’t Misbehavin’,” “Dreamgirls” and “La Cage aux Folles.”

I worked with Chicago’s Second City, assisted Mike Nichols in filming “The Birdcage”, hosted two TV series for CNBC, and appeared in more than 50 national theatrical productions and TV commercials.

I co-founded City Theatre’s Summer Shorts Festival, celebrating its 25th season as “America’s Short Play Festival.” I’ve produced 350+ plays, raised over $600,000 annually, with “Summer Shorts” a local favorite comprised of largest regional company and performing to 12,000+ regional audiences a year.

I co-created “Camp Kappawanna,” a World Premiere rock musical for families penned by Grammy-Nominated singer/songwriter Lisa Loeb. “Camp Kappawanna” performed for most recently Off-Broadway at the Atlantic Theater Company and regionally at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts and the Orlando Repertory Theatre.

I’ve managed the Colony Theater for the City of Miami Beach, worked as a Development Officer for Mount Sinai Medical Center and the Miami Children’s Museum.

Currently, I am a Corporate Strategist for Ultimate Software (recently merged to become UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group), ranked #2 by Fortune on its 2020 Best Companies to Work For list, marking our company’s highest-ever ranking on the nationwide list and its fourth consecutive year in the top 10, with Ultimate having ranked in the top 25 on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For list since 2012.

I currently serve on the boards of the Duke University Club of South Florida, the Junior League of Miami’s Community Advisory Board, the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU’s Mosaic Society and the Juggerknot Theatre Company.

But my proudest achievements are my three children, and love being a lifelong Duke basketball fan and alum!
